Job Requirements:
2 plus years of auto body collision experience
Replacing and repairing bolt on and weld on panels
knowledge of structural or replacement repairs, airbag replacement and some mechanical work
Meet or exceed company's requirements for tech efficiency, cycle time (to keep vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery) and return rate
Work and communicate with production manager and estimators on the vehicle repair status, including supplements
Utilize all required safety equipment, follows proper repair procedures, and adheres to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal
Keep personal work area organized and clean, returns tools and maintains parts/materials carts in an organized manner

Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:
History of working independently and in a team environment
Highly organized, able to handle multiple concurrent assignments
Must provide own tools (in working order)
Complies with manufacturer and dealer safety guidelines and standards
Ability to effectively communicate with others
Ability to read and understand basic instructions, written estimates, and work orders
Multi-tasking; adapt easily to fast-paced environment

Service Valet Post Date

Yankee Ford is hiring a full-time Service Porter for our South Portland, Maine location. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with strong customer service skills who can leave a positive last impression for every customer concerning their overall service experience at our Ford dealership. Automotive experience is not necessary for this entry-level position, as we will train the right individual.


Job Responsibilities include a wide variety of vehicle handling tasks and include:

 

• Parks and moves vehicles out of the service lane out to the back parking lot.

• Assist Customers and the flow of vehicles that drive though the service lane.

• Gas up loaners and sometime they clean them.

• Trained how to use our alignment checker in our service lane and our battery testers to check as many vehicles they can in our service lane

• Clean the service lane area including windows, doors, floors and trash is emptied every day or as needed.

• Bring vehicles up for the customers when needed.

• Be able to greet our customers and check them in with a service advisor.

• Cleaning service drive and valeting vehicles.

• Other tasks may be requested at the Managers discretion.

Education/Practical Experience Required, a high school education or GED preferred. The qualified candidate must have valid driver's license, an acceptable MVR

Service Technician (transmission specialist) $60,000 - $120,000

We have a need for technician's who have a focus on customer satisfaction and building long relationships. Yankee Ford takes pride in providing the BEST customer service around! 

Seeking an Auto transmission technician/specialist who maintains and repairs vehicle transmissions. In this role, you run tests on the vehicle using computerized diagnostic equipment to determine if there are any problems with the transmission that need to be fixed. Once the results of the tests are ready, you make the necessary repairs or perform routine maintenance, such as changing or flushing out the transmission fluid. After your repairs, you test drive the vehicle and make additional diagnostic assessments to ensure that your repairs solved the problem. 
• Able to diagnose and repair automotive systems - using the latest Ford diagnostic equipment van - equipped with a 4g network capability - all the right tools/equipment.
• Complete service and repair assignments efficiently, safely and correct, to pass quality inspections set forth by dealership and Ford quality standards
• Comply with company safety policies and procedures
• Communicate directly with service adviser and dispatcher regarding the status of the service work.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques
